Refrigerant PT Chart Calculator

Enter a refrigerant, then a pressure or a temperature get the matching saturation reading instantly. Covers all eight refrigerants Smart Refrigerants stocks, including current‑generation A2L blends R‑32 and R‑454B.

How it Works

How the PT Calculator Works

Three steps between you and a verified saturation reading no chart flipping required.

Pick your refrigerant

Select from the dropdown every refrigerant Smart Refrigerants stocks is covered, from legacy R‑22 to current A2L blends R‑32 and R‑454B.

Enter a pressure or a temperature

Type in a gauge reading in psig, or a target saturation temperature in °F the calculator works in either direction.

Read the matching value instantly

The calculator returns the corresponding pressure or temperature the moment you stop typing, with no reload and no extra clicks.

DIGITAL VS. PRINTED

Why a PT Calculator Beats a Printed Chart

Pressure/temperature charts have not gone away they have just moved off the clipboard and onto the phone in your pocket.

One Tool, Every Refrigerant, Always Current

A printed pressure/temperature chart only covers one refrigerant per page, gets left in the truck, and never updates when a manufacturer revises its data. A digital PT calculator solves all three problems at once every refrigerant lives in one tool, it is on the phone already in your pocket, and the underlying values get checked against current manufacturer charts instead of a laminated sheet from years ago.

HOW IT WORKS

Reading Pressure Into Temperature

Every refrigerant has a fixed relationship between the pressure inside a sealed system and the temperature at which it boils or condenses at that pressure this is the saturation point the calculator solves for. Enter a gauge reading in psig and the tool returns the exact saturation temperature for the refrigerant selected, the same number a printed chart would show for that pressure.

A2L ACCURACY

Why A2L Refrigerants Need Current Data

R-32 and R-454B run at different pressures than the R-410A they are replacing, and using an outdated or generic chart for either one leads directly to a mischarged system. This calculator's R-32 and R-454B values are checked against current manufacturer PT data, not carried over from an older refrigerant's chart.

NEXT STEPS

Where This Fits Into a Full Charge Check

A PT reading on its own confirms a single data point it does not replace a full superheat or subcooling check. Most technicians use the PT calculator to sanity-check a gauge reading first, then move to the superheat calculator or subcooling calculator depending on the metering device, to confirm the system is actually charged correctly.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this PT calculator accurate for R-454B and R-32?

Yes. Both A2L refrigerants use pressure/temperature data cross-checked against current manufacturer charts, not carried over from older refrigerant data.

Do I need to create an account to use it?

No. The PT calculator is free and open for immediate use with no login required.

Can I use this instead of a physical gauge set?

No. The calculator confirms what a given pressure or temperature reading should be you still need manifold gauges to take the actual reading from the system.

Which refrigerants does the calculator cover?

All eight refrigerants Smart Refrigerants stocks: R‑22, R‑410A, R‑32, R‑454B, R‑134a, R‑1234yf, R‑404A, and R‑507.

Why does my gauge reading not match the calculator exactly?

Small differences are normal and usually come from gauge calibration drift or altitude. A reading more than a few degrees off the calculator's value is worth rechecking against a second gauge.
